We sailed  through the Scan (quote from my oncologist), Stable, nothing new - Great relief for sure. And we moved between Scans !!!

Of course  I have had several health issues between these magical events - Scans… and I finished prophylactic course against shingles. My dream is to have less than one doctor's appointment per week, however every time surprise my oncologist by something new.    Yes, that's right I  need to make sure they will be not broke, so keep seeing one doc after another for various reasons.

This months topics  - something vascular around port area and neck and Jaw changes- had second ultrasound today, nobody can solved my mystery. Second topic is Jaw changes,  I am off Xgeva  waiting for a consultation with oral surgeon 

 Please never loose hope It has been tough lately for everyone, I deeply miss our friends, and hope Dawne and Debbie are confortable without pain.   

Thank you all of my pink sisters, who have been sending positive thoughts and prayers.

I love you all, I wish I could have more energy to post more often.

    Sounds like good results in spite of all the junk in between. My onco stopped the xgeva back in I think Feb or March. I asked to postpone the shot for a week because I was going to a dinner. He asked why and I told him after the shot my jaw was so sore that it was hard to chew. He mentioned an oral surgeon, then felt my jaw and said not necessary that the biophosphates had run their course that necrosis was setting in.
    I hope you remain stable for years to come! You always seem so upbeat and caring, and I know that it is hard, scary, frustrating.

    Olga,

    I loved your comments about your goal being less than one doctor's appointment per week! It's so true! I've seen more doctor's in 2013 than I did in my whole life. For someone who was never sick, never had the flu in my life (I get a cold maybe once every 5 years), never took a sick day in 23 years (only missed then because I had a hysterectomy, and was back at work 4 days after I got out of the hospital) this has been one hell of a year!  My occupation now is going to the doctor two or three times a week. Skipping a whole week once in awhile sounds wonderful.

    So glad your scan was stable and hope your jaw is ok. i took a break this week form my current regime of chiropracter and PT for neck issues. although i did ave to call my gyn for a pescription. Its always something.

    Olga, stable is wonderful!  I hope that your jaw is ok and that your port area clears up. 

    And, boy do I ever understand your goal.  I have seen 2 oncologists in the last week and I see the oral surgeon next week.

    It all sounds really good to me.  We all understand about the endless DR's visits.  Seems even my visits unrelated to cancer are more frequent now.  Everyone wants a piece of the action!  Big hug to you, Linda

    Yes, doctors!

    Next year it will be more expensive for me. We got info for new 2014 health plan with co-payments increasing to $50 for specialist and higher deductible as well.
