Hi,
i have been reading these messages alot and many people talk about their tumour having sarcotomoid features...what does this mean and how would I know if mine had those features? Would that be on the pathology report or is that something I need to ask the doctor? Thanks. |

Sarcomitoid features is a de-differentiation of the tumor. It looks like Sarcoma (similar morphology).
Sarcomitoid features means the tumor is typically more agressive, responds to different meds, etc. It had a much worse prognosis.
You will see it in the patholody report.
Mine was T1b Furman Grade 4 with Sarcomitoid Features.
