As a six foot tall woman with a sick sense of humor, I almost put this in FunnyBonz.

    Interesting

I don't think it is a slam dunk by any stretch.  For now it is an interesting observation/correlation but pure speculation as to the mechanism.  Too many other confounding factors and no control group.

    What do you think?

Does being a tall women also lead to more basketball related injuries?  :)

    If I...

...sling a dead cat over my head standing one leg, in a cemetary at midnight, will my lottery ticket be drawn?

It's understandable why Annie might have thought of interring it with Gary's bones, isn't it,  but I guess we should recognise that it's not a joke, even though we can't have a clue what it might mean!  As you imply, at the moment it's not apparent how we would go about trying to find a way of getting traction on what it could tell us.  A classic example of the disjunct between 'correlation' and causation.

    Tall women

    Anne,

This is way, way above my pay scale as my wife is only 4'9' and that other stuff was almost 20 years ago.

I do like your suggestion on how to silence men.

    tall story

Many years ago I was invited to a new years party. Lo and behold at 6'2" I was the shortest person there. Finally I found a girl that was only a few inches taller than me to dance with. I learned a lesson that night. Ron

    Lesson

It wouldn't have anything to do with the subject of Gary's research, would it?

    I suspected as much....

    Theater History?  Medicine?

Can there be THAT much difference?

My dentist is in musical theater, and I've had some docs over the years who would be excellent villians (like the one who tried to treat a fractured ankle via my mammalian protuberances).

    ;)

    LOL!

Interestingly, the Greek Theatre at Epidaurus is directly adjacent to the Temple of Asclepius where Hippocrates practiced I am told! For me that is not surprising.

Hippocrates treated the body's ills, while the Greeks, I contend, used theatre to treat the society's ills!

Frankly, I think the two go hand in hand.

If mental attitude directly affects physical health as we seem to acknowledge, then theatre, a socially required activity for Greek citizens, certainly could affect one's outlook on life!

    Hmmm!
