    I'm along for the ride

As you begin your journey tomorrow please know you are in my thoughts. I had a port put in prior to chemo.  The port became part of my journey, which made the chemo experience much better. I wish you well, and know as each day passes it is one step closer to the end of the chemo journey.

    Good luck

I had your same chemo protocol between 3-3-2013 and 5-5-2013, I wish you good luck. I hope you won't have any trouble with it.

Try to have a good night rest and drink a lot of fluids

    Take care

    Will be thinking of you!
The port went really well for me. The port will make the whole chemo process easier and the surgery was fairly easy.
    Wishi g you the best.

Your port will be one of your best friends, when you begin to understand how that can be.  Mine was put in near the end of March last year.  I was able to have it removed the first part of January.

I am assuming it one that will go under your skin, making it not very noticeable, aside from the small bump.

I hope the procedure goes smoothly and that you have no major problems with the chemo.

Talking with others that have been there creates such a calming feeling.  Thanks for being here.

    Day went well.

Surgery went pretty smoothly today.    Neck is a bit sore and it's hard to turn my head tonight. Theres a good bit of swelling right now.

Chemo treatment was uneventful.  Just an uncomfortabe stomach and a good bit of belching.  Not very lady-like, but tough tonails to any one I run into that doesn't like it.

If SE stay like this throughout TX this will be a breeze. I am not holding my breath on this, but it was a good start.

Thanks for all your prayers and support.  They're invaluable.

    God bless you all,

    Sandy

    Sandy ... Good news!

Take it easy for a few days -- and remember that you 'port' area may remain sore for a week or so.

Try not to get to adventurous,  paint your home, or take up jogging!

    Continued prayers, and gentle hugs.

Strength, Courage and HOPE for a Cure.

Vicki, does this mean I have

Vicki, does this mean I have to cancel bungy jumping.  Just kidding.

The port itself doesn't bother me as much as my neck today and there is a good bit of swelling in the side of my neck, can only turn my head slowley.

My activities planned today are having a friend take me in for the Nuelasta injection, feeding the dog, and huggung an ice pack.

Isn't your big day on 6/1.

I will be on the bus with you, but don't let me drive.  My brother-in-law said I could get lost going in a circle.  Then my son popped up with, "No.  She can get lost standing still." I guess I'm not cut out to be a navigater.  But I can bring gooey chocolate chip cookies.

    port

You will eventually love your port. Did anyone tell you about getting permissiom to take Claritin, (generic ok). It helps many reduce the bone pain from the marrow working overtime, from the Neulasta. Kept my discomfort tolerable. Be well. This is doable. jojo2

    Claritin

I took it daily throughout my tx. Some take it the day of chemo and several days after Neulasta. Good luck. jojo2
