Sunday lunch with family in the beach house despite weather is still rainy and fresh !
What about you mates?
Pepe, spooks like your going to have a fun weekend. I'm still in hospital. They want to keep monitoring me since I'm still bleeding. I hope to get out in a couple of days. Pray everyone is as good as possible. Jeff
My son had a game today and has one tomorrow. Prom is tomorrow night and a group of kids are meeting here before dinner....they look so nice dressed up. Pepe I hope you are feeling good....sounds like a fun weekend! Jeff ... Sorry you are in the hospital and hope for a quick recovery. I hope everyone has a nice, meaningful weekend..thinking of the ones who are having a hard time...~Ann
My one grandson is on visitation weekend with his mother, so I have the other grandson all weekend to myself to spoil, since his parents are on their way to Las Vegas to celebrate my son's 26th Birthday. My where does the time go?
plus since he's two years old, I'll get plenty of exercise chasing after him ;).
Pepon, sounds like a wonderful weekend you are having as well.
Weekend in Savannah, Georgia. My husband has a conference here so I am lying in my hotel bed just enjoying the time. I will be walking down the historic River Front to go to breakfast at Huey's to get some beignet's! Relaxing weekend. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Sandy:)
heartening to hear about, sounds very loving and fun.
The weather here in Michigan is finally getting warmer and the sun is shining brightly. This weekend I am: 1) washing my therapy pup to take to hospice on Monday, 2) cutting down a few dead limbs with a new little battery-operated chain saw I just bought, 3) buying a walker for my husband even though he says he absolutely does not need and will not ever use it, 4) cooking out on a new grill Sunday for family and our neighbors, and 5) dropping off bicycles at the repair shop to get them conditioned for the season.
We started our day at 1am with a Drive to SoCal. About 1.5 miles(3km) from our house, we had two Elk walk in front of our caravan and stare us down for a few seconds. What a great way to start a trip! We drove the 500 miles (800km) to California. We met with famliy tonight for dinner. Tomorrow we will meet with many friends for dinner. Tuesday we plan on being in San Diego to visit UCSD for a surgery consult. A busy week.
friday night we had baseball practice. I took DD and the neighbor's kids to the playground. My dd just turned 11 this week. She is tall for her age. Well, she was just hanging out at the swings with some other kids and these two 14/15 year old boys showed up at the playground. A few minutes later one of the boys went up and talked to her. She came over to me after he talked to her...she said "mommy, he asked me if I was single...what do I say?" I said tell him you are 11! Ugh. I guess we now have to watch out for boys!
saturday we had DS's baseball game. They lost.:( one of the boys my DD knows from school (her age) stooped and talked to her for a few minutes. UGH...boys again! After the game I went to a friend's house...we did our needlework NAND had some desserts. Everything was so good.
today we have another practice at 5pm. We will probably spend most of the day doing things around the house.
and helped my daughter get ready for senior prom. These things are so over the top these days! Way too much build-up and stress and money involved in it. But i will say that she and her date looked cute...wouldn't it be nice to be so young and shiny?? AA
Your daughter is beautiful and her date is very handsome....I only have one daughter but I do remember the stress and drama and all the build -up! Four boys were much easier.....rent a tux, maybe a haircut and a pocketful of money! My son is just a junior so they decided to just go to dinner and a post prom party. Of course the plans were all last minute......but they had a good time. Love your daughter's dress...my favorite color! And her hair is beautiful. Hope she had a good time....thanks for sharing....~Ann
but don't tell 'em I said so! I have no choice but to stick around because if something happens to me, my two girls will be out their free therapy sessions. My first job as "mom of girls" seems to be to provide a sympathetic ear 24/7. My main job for my son seems to be to read a lot of Harry Potter and make sure he gets a million calories a day.
Girls...when in doubt, listen....boys...when in doubt, feed them! And yes they do go all out for Prom... limos, boat rides on Lake Michigan, hotels, next day at the Indiana or Michigan dunes, etc. This last son is so low keyed and content that I am sure he has no clue about extravagance, but by next year some beautiful girl will clue him in! ~ Ann

Just doing yard work and watching ComediansInCarsGettingCoffee.com. I enjoy Jerry Seinfeld and this show is classic Jerry!
