Recovery- Sore Throat Worse

Finished rads 8 weeks ago. Was feeling gradually better until Wed. Had a dental cleaning Wednesday and two days later throat hurt much worse. Is it normal in recovery period to have throat pain get worse? Two steps forward 3 steps back? Still not able to eat anything other than pudding and milk shakes.

    Common/Uncommon..

Definitely not uncommon..., especially at only eight weeks out.

More than likely you are going to have a lot of mystery aches, pains sore spots, etc...for several months if not longer.

You're just at the very tail end of the worse part of your recovery, so the dental procedure could have added to the discomfort, not sure.

    But again, definitely not uncommon...

Of course if it's a big enough concern, you can always follow-up with your ENT for a confidense check...

Add to what John said that

Add to what John said that dental cleaning throws all kinds of bacteria into your system.
