a few families, me and kids raising money selling sausages for kids cubs and scouts.
i am sending out media releases to test mainstream media about my possible cure and tryimg to find a journalist and documentary maker to come to germany with me to be my support person. Especially as I have not found anyone to come with me.
My birthday is Sunday, 1/27. I'm turning 49! I'm 49 and feeling fine!!!
However, it looks like a rougher road ahead. I learned yesterday that I have five different mets on my liver and another possible met on the outside of my colon (near colon resection surgery location). And I'm not a candidate for surgery.
But in spite of this downer news!
I'm going to a kareoke party with 39 of my friends on Saturday and I'm going to Detroit to watch my son in a play on Sunday!
Happy birthday Phil and MANY more!!! Sorry you got some bad news but keep looking til you find a doctor that can help.
Enjoy your party..sounds like a blast!
49 way to go...celebrate each birthday. Sorry to hear about your new mets...this cancer is brutal...give us a break already. Pray all goes well with you. Jeff
However I started my marathon training this week.. I should be ready by 2015 maybe.. not really see it...
Hoping there is a good movie on TV.
I did see Lincoln.. .I know it got accolades.. I wasn't over the moon about it.. I loved all the background actors.. James Spader really stealls the movie... it was a good movie but be prepared.. it is long.
Hope you are doing ok and feeling fine! Mom is doing great. We met with the oncologist last week. They did some blood work and she is scheduled for her next pet scan in April. We are hoping the port will be removed towards the end of the year. She asked the doctor if she can get a perm in her hair after it is removed. She can't wait to be a curly top again, lol. We are going out shopping tomorrow and then lunch. Hope you and Tote enjoy your weekend. Take care my friend.
Strange days ,we have stopped putting out fires, now we are up to our necks in water. A cyclone formed in the Gulf Of Carpentaria ,crossed cape york ,turned into a low and has bounced all the way down the Qld coast. Some places have had as much as 500 mm in 24 hrs. Most of the coastal rivers are in flood. It has just reached where I live and they have forecast as much as 2-300 mm in the next 24 hrs, Won't be many barbies lit for aust day...Ron.
Well.....colonoscopy to mark 1 year NED is on Monday. So I prep away. Ahhh it is fun. As we all know it is not really that bad. Jan 31 will mark me 1 year NED. My cea is great, scans are clean, feeling good going into Monday. I find now I do not think about cancer every second of the day like I used to. I am slowly emerging :). My birthday is today so I am celebrating. Last year on my birthday I had an appointment with the surgeon and Onc. What a difference a year makes!
This cold spell is getting realold but but next Tuesday it is suppose to hit 60's. Only one day then back to to freezer. Pray everyone stays well. Jeff
Husband took me out for a nice meal. Very quiet otherwise - nice. Every birthday since my initial diagnosis has become more meaningful to me. I don't mind getting older - it's great to be alive!
I am Stage IV with more mets to deal with. I turned 49 on Sunday. I too think this birthday was very meaningful to me. I don't know what the future holds for me but I want to enjoy life as long as I can!!!

Trying to stay accident free...
Since I arrived in The Netherlands, I:
1) bruised my wrist by coming down HARD! on the radiator by the door, after taking the trash out.
2) bruised my knee and pulled my back when I missed a stair at night, taking the garbage down to the can.
HEY! WAIT a MINUTE!!!! I see a PATTERN!!!!
I'm going to propose that I NEVER take the trash out again!!! THAT way, I won't get hurt!!!!!!
Hugs to all, have a great weekend....we are going to swap meets and staying warm....(-5C here during the day, but the snow is sure pretty!)
Hugs, Kathi
