Checking in, and with good news!

Greetings all.  I've been away for a while, but check in to update almost everyday.

I'm now 3 1/2 months out of treatment.  1st scope check came back all clear on Dec 10th.  Yesterday I had my 1st PET scan and it also came back all clear.  I'm as happy as I can be.

Also had that darn feeding tube removed yesterday, after being in since 9-27.  (total weight loss was 55 pounds).  What a difference.  I'm eating very well and have gained 10 pounds since Christmas.  Still not much in the saliva department but I can't complain, at all.

You all have my best wishes.

George

    Wet Willy....

    Congrats....

Hang in there, saliva will return to some degree..., most is nearly 90 - 100% given time... It took nearly two years for both my saliva and taste to return pretty much 100%....

I'd imagine with your taste starting to return, saliva will be close behind.

    WOW...10 lbs already??

that is amazing!  You must have really been hungry...LOL.

Congrats on the clean scan, that is a huge relief, isn't it?  Also....getting that darn tube out starts setting us up to going back to normal....that was one of my favorite days.
