Sarcomatous

Has anybody heard of this component in ovarian cancer? Apparently, my mother has a mixed cancer, and this component is more aggressive and takes longer to respond to chemo, if it responds at all.
She is getting slowly better, one week past chemo. Still in the hospital, no ng tube, moving her bowels and eating light foods. She is very weak and taking pain meds for upper abdomenen pain. The doctor says she is in guarded condition, and we have to take things day to day. My father appears to be in denial. I feel so empty right now. How on earth will my family get through this? I can't tell if there is hope, or not. I am thinking the doctors are trying to tell us, w/o actually saying it, that my mom has no chance for any type of recovery. They keep mentioning palliative care too.

How do I search on this new format?
