Thank you for being a part of the Cancer Survivor Network community. Survivors and caregivers like you have played a unique role in fostering an online environment that encourages connection among those needing support, community, and education. Good visit with my surgeon

Had my appointment with my surgeon today. After re-reading the PET report, examining me, doing an ultrasound in his office and calling and conferring with my medical oncologist, the feeling is that whatever is showing up on the PET in my left axillary region is post-op in nature from my recent mastectomy. He saw no evidence of a mass on ultrasound and did not feel one clinically.
So, I will check the area manually monthly, continue my Faslodex injections and Xgeva shot monthly, and have a follow-up PET in 6 months.
This PET showed NED and we are thrilled. Thank you all so much for your prayers, good wishes and positive energy. Now, it's back to living life!
Hugs, Renee
