I get to have more surgery....
My recovery from my lumpectomy has been full of problems, so my surgeon is going back in tomorrow morning. I'll spend the weekend at home recovering (it is outpatient surgery). We're hoping that a little reworking will alleviate the severe pain I've been suffering for the past week.
My original plans were to curl in a tournament. I had to drop off of my team (fortunately, they were able to find someone else.)
However, in the scheme of things, the surgery is minor. It's a major nuisance, but it's a sort of non-cancer/cancer surgery, as it is related to a diagnostic surgery that found everything benign, but left me with the post-op blues.
I hope I can get back on the ice next week, and I hope everyone else has a great weekend. (Boy, would I love to be out kayaking!)

Pepe is a day ahead of most of us.
you are always ahead of your time Pepe!
Love it!
Plan to hang low, chill with the fam and take in a movie.
I'm back to work pretty much full time and having a blast in my new role and trying hard to keep the stress low.
I think I'll clean the garage and read a new book i purchased this week...

Sister weekend
The first Saturday of November for about the last 15 years or so has been designated sister shopping day! My mom and her six sisters and me (my moms youngest sister is six months younger than me) began this tradition in prepping for our annual Christmas party which averaged up to 80 folks! We would hit the dollar stores and buy two $1 toys for each little one for Santa to give out during our party. We would also do some additional shopping and garage sales along the way and always splurge for a great meal! I had one aunt who was very frugal and she would always "splurge" and order a steak! She passed away three years ago after battling B cell non Hodgkins lymphoma, we always remember her steak meal when we order ours! We had one rule, no kids allowed! It was our day! You had to be 18 or graduated from high school! My wonderful aunts are now entering their mid and late sixties with my mom the oldest at 72. I have so many wonderful memories of these years! We laugh till we pee our pants almost and bring tears to our eyes! Last year I was still taking chemo, I tagged along but it was rough, I plan on making up for that come Saturday! Bring on the depends and let the laughter flow!
Happy weekend to everyone!

Hey Pepe, Rick is looking
Hey Pepe, Rick is looking forward to having his kids come up for a visit. I'm hoping that his sister and nephew will come too. Rick likes having visitors, I just wish more of his old friends would stop by since it always perks him up.
Wishing everyone a nice weekend

Do wish the weather a little better and warmer.
