I have had a hot toxic nodule since 2004. It now has grown larger.i am going to have my radio active iodine treatment nov.9. Dont know too much except what ive read online... They dont tell you until the day of the treatment. Although i do know it will probably be a larger dose. I did not have biopsy although one doctor did want to but i was seeing a different doc. Already. Has anyone had this?

    Toxic nodule

I had a toxic nodule 4 cm and numerous other nodules and Hyperthyroidism.  Biopsy on the large one was inconclusive.  Endocrinologist said there were too many to biopsy and did thyroidectomy.  Pathology showed papillary carcinoma in one of the small nodules.
