Hey everyone,
A cancer dx is devastating....needless to say exspensive to boot. Insurance also only covers so much and deductables are insane. I was mind boggled when this hit me last Nov. 2011. But thankfully I was still able to be making the calls to the hospitals and clinics to explain my situation. There are programs through most (not all) facillities that offer help. But you need to reach out to them. No it's not easy...and I am a very proud woman...that needed to live through my c-dx. First call should be to their billing department....and then their social worker. Also check with your state...ACS might have some ideas for you too. Reach out, and you might be surprised. I certainly was, and have been blessed with the support I received. Good luck everyone, Katie
