Bile and blood

My father was admitted to the hospital three weeks ago with vomiting bile. Since then, blood has been present about once a day. He was diagnosed with stomach cancer in May of 2011 and has gone through chemotherapy. He started his latest round right before he was admitted. My question is what others have done to control the vomiting and help keep food down. Our doctors have not given us any answers in the last week and it is becoming frustrating. I feel like they are giving up on my father and waiting for him to die. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
