I walked 5k today

Today was the day I did the ovarian cancer 5k walk. All my family and friends participated in it. It was very moving. They made a short for me that said survivor and my name. They all wore shirts that said "I walk for Joyce Pratt" and a real ribbon in the middle. It was very moving. I want you to know I thought of you all on this site. I truly believe that the support from this site truly helped me and still does.

All the best my real warriors

    Dear Joyce
I've never had the opportunity to do an ovarian cancer walk but I'm teary-eyed thinking about your experience. I am so grateful that you were able to do this. Thank you for doing this for all of the warriors! I feel sure that those women who couragously fought and lost their battle were smiling down on you.

    Great accomplishment!
As you can see from my profile picture, I love walking in 5Ks. (I used to run). I always get really charged up for whatever the cause is. It must feel incredible to be supported by a whole team like that! I am having a hard time finding any events organized specifically for ovarian cancer in South Florida. So I just enter the ones for any kind of cancer, and wear my teal gear!

    Keep up the good work.

That is wondefull that you were able to do the walk. I hope to do that sometime. How nice that your family did it with you.
