Scoped today, for the first time since mid-May!

He also said my upper vocal cords and epiglottis are inflamed from the radiation, so it's no surprise that I'm having a little trouble swallowing. He expects that to resolve over the next weeks or months.
Just thought I would post the good news, and the light at the end of the tunnel. :-)

WOW...
That's a pretty bold statement just from performing a scope....
To tell you that from just performing a first scope with no PET or length of history is a very progressive approach.
Must people on here don't get that for a good time after treatment.
Awesome that he feels that way....

WHOOT!!!!
Oh Laralyn....I love it when the only person who had intimate knowledge of my tumor looked and said "it's all gone".....this is WONDERFUL news!!.
Also, great news that you have a rhyme and a reason for the swallowing issue....knowing that it's inflammation and will be going away has got to be an uplift!!

good update
Hi Laralyn,
Nice report, all good news. Next, a good PET to confirm.
I am almost 19 weeks post, with my voice hit or miss, but getting better. I got a little worried about the voice, but my ENT assured me everything was normal.
Anyway, I am very pleased to hear from you with such a positive message.
Keep swallowing, work hard at getting better.
Best,
Matt -
