When I do it which I have for 3 nights and 1 without. Whan i do it I do not wake all night with a dry mouth and chewed cheeks The night without was dry and cheek chewing.

Thanks RayTodd for the information. I will talk to my dentist to see if we can do the same thing. Funny, I thought I was the only one biting my cheeks at night. I have a mouth guard but end up taking it out during the night while asleep. A thin one with gel would do the trick.

Like you I’ve been working diligently to solve the dry mouth syndrome, I’ve contacted some of the greatest minds, but they said leave me alone. So, I guess it is hit or miss by fellow H&N bus riders.

Lately, I’ve been trying the Xylimelts just as my head hits the hay and like you have been sleeping through the night only to be woken by the pee signal (you know all that water). The Xylimelts are a funky little mint you place between the check and gum and for the most part they stay fixed in place (I found one on the pillow this morning). They dissolve slowly over a few hours (I guess, I am asleep). Next thing I know it is morning. I am getting from 5 to 7 hours uninterrupted sleep for multiple nights in a row. For me they seem to help.

It is probably hit or miss on whether they will work for anybody else, but you know how it is here amongst fellow thread readers, we are a tolerant, yet vocal group about what does and doesn’t work.

Good luck to all and try to sleep with your mouth closed (to preserve moisture).

Solution.
12weeks out of treatment and I have no saliva at all. My saliva glands
were not even in the line of fire (if you know what I mean). Anyway back to
the issue of dry mouth. There is a company in Europe (Germany) I think
named SALIWELL ( www.saliwell.com ) and they have invented a custom
made mouth-guard with a electronic device built in it which it stimulates the
saliva glands by electric impulses.
I've read over their website and it looks pretty promising. It doesn't give
prices so its proberbly expensive as they are custom made through your
dentist ( who have never heard of it ).
Please check out the sight and see what you think ( I have NO affiliation )
I wish I did as it looks good, but I will give it more time to see if any
of mine comes back.
