Hi everyone it has been quite some time since I posted. Just wanted to let everyone know I am doing fine. I know that it is encouraging to see when someone is doing well so I thought I should post. Diagnosed May 2010 stage 3 NSCLC - Mets to spine moved me to stage 4, now on Tarceva and doing well, working full time, met is reduced and no further spread since Tarceva. Anita |

¡Hola Mamacita!
Good to hear it's working for you! Still dodging bullets here as well, and got a hired gun gig this summer, which keeps me on pace for my once-annual exposure to the public eye (which is probably about as much of me as the public should have to stand). The rock-and-roll cure tour ...
Stay well!

That's very good news Anita.
I think this board could maybe use some good news. In that vein, I just had my 18 month check up and my x-ray was clear. I wish everyone the same results, Diane

Well thats great, just got out of a week with two more mets to the brain (again!)
Tarceva I hear good things about, but that BLB I am worried abit about, but the rads and head docs say they have many more times they can do this operation on Gamma Knife, so I see my Onc next week for the rest of the body wich showd NED a week ago!!? We will c !!

Nice to see all my CSN folks fighting the fight!
Just checking in too....My dad was diagnosed in May 2011 with Stage III NCSLC squamous cell in the right lower lobe a 12mm nodule. He endured the chemo and radiation for 3 months, then he ended up they found a lesion on the lower spine, a sm solitary area 8mm in size. he had 10 radiation treatments and had carboplatin and gemcitibine. it was difficult on him. he is now feeling better.he hasn't lost any weight, he is napping in the daytime, but he is older too.-78.I want those of you who remember me and those who are reading this, that THERE IS HOPE.....I really cannot express this enough. If you are new to this site...keep the faith...study, read , listen. You are the strongest, bravest people I have had to privledge to talk to. Last year, I felt hopeless and so sorrowful for my dad and my whole family...now, 14months later, I see that with God, medicine and my dads bravery, we are still living fulfilled lives.
I even think he appeciates life in a different way.I know I do.Next PET in Aug.
So all....keep on doing what you do!! Kado.
