I didn't have a clue what to call them. I'm thinking the same way you are.....for sleeping and for walking the dog...just a little moisture so my tongue isn't glued to the roof of my mouth.
Just got a chuckle....Laralyn, I swear you and I are supporting Amazon in a big way...ha! I've bought so much from them in the last month, it's scary.

DRY MOUTH
Hey Phrannie, have you experimented with a spray such as Mouth Kote, my personal favorite, or Biotine for a spiffy moist mouth? I used it for years, had a small spray bottle always on me, and one in my car, and it always did me good. It's a bit more convenient, I think, than the sponge sticks. Just an alternative to consider.

right now the sores on my lip can't take the mint of the Biotene, tho it did work before they got going. Will give a search at Amazon and see about "Mouth Kote"...I believe in a big arsenal...thanks for the tip, Patrick!!

One of the other posters to this board, used a product called Stoppers4, you have to order it on line, I like it better than the biotene spray. Keep a bottle every where around the house and at my office. It was part of my rad ritual, drink of water, several squirts of the stoppers4, on the table I went.

Stoppers 4 still has a small amount of mint taste to it, but not like Biotene. Those cracked lips can be a real pain. Keep em coated.

How are you doin? Hope you are bearing up OK. How are you finding the treatments?
Sorry I've not been about the last few days, I haven't deserted you! My cheers are still very much here. I got an infection in my neck dissection wound which has my exterior and interior throat area all swollen up, red and tender so been taking a bit of time out as its been hard to sleep with it and very uncomfortable.
Not complaining, know a wound infection is no biggie compared to what most are going through in here but missing sleep has been hard, as I've been really busy getting back to running the business after my time in hospital. Probably overdoing it a bit but the family need the money to keep coming in!
Times like this I wish I had a job instead of my own business but I wouldn't swap it.
On antibiotics for the infection so hopefully those will have it sorted soon.

A wound infection is nothing to sneeze at, that's a fact! I figured you had gotten home, and were having a grand time snuggling and luvin' up your family, that you took a few days off from here.
I'm holding up very well....can't believe only 2 more days, and I'll have week 3 completed!!! YES!
It is harder when you own your own business, for sure....when you're gone, there isn't anyone minding the store...just try not to overdo.....really, you need as much rest as you can get.

Nearly week 3 done - wonderful stuff Phrannie, keep it going!!
The doctor gave me crappy penicillin antbiotics for what looked like fairly substantial infection. As a result after 3 days of taking them it has got quite a bit worse and has spread down towards my shoulder. When he gave me the co amoxiclav he said 'if that doesn't work come back as you may need stronger ones'. I walked put of his office and thought 'why the hell didn't he just give me the stronger ones anyway??'
So I am back in hospital as I post probably IV antibiotics for a few days...
Whatever doesn't kill me makes me stronger! :-)0 -
