Being sprung as soon as paper work is done (nurse says could take a couple hours). Doc says good thing I came in when I did, as artery was practically shut, HOWEVER all the other arteries are in great shape surprisingly he said just the one was bad and that was enough to kill you. But I have dodged another bullet! Would have been a heck of a note to have died of heart disease after surviving the original cancer prognosis!! Darned if I haven't breathing troubles and a burning pain lately. So here I sit waiting on an angiogram in the morning, stress test showed abnormalities. Well, don't that bite? Not too bad news, was diagnosed with unstable angina. They did a stress test and ultra-sound and said that's abnormal and that's abnormal. So was scheduled for an angiogram this morning (Monday morning, I have already lost track of time here,) at any rate they did the angiogram and had to balloon and give me a metal stent. I am doing fine waiting for the daylight hours to get here so I can go home. It appears the incredible pain that I've continued for the past few months in my right arm has gone away since they put the stent,, go figure it was due to my heart and not cancer (thank goodness!) I am doing well thanks to all those good vibes, crossed appendages and prayers. Thank you so much! Not going home as promised, looks like one more day here. Nurse gave me a shot in the stomach after swearing it wouldn't hurt. She lied, I now call her Nurse Rachet, so in return she sweetly asked " You do know you get another one tonight? ARG!!! |

Oh, it is hard to be
Oh, it is hard to be patient! I will hope and pray that you will soon be resuming your life and this will just be a bleep in the screen. Hang In. After a cancer diagnosis, we all default to worse case scenario until we remember that our positive attitude and strength has served us well. When we can't access those resources, we can lean on the strength of others here.
We'll be waiting to hear how you're doing.

Seems she is been operated and placed an stent somewhere (in a
vein I suppose as she was talking about chest pain) it seems surgery was successful ,I have seen it on her FB.

I hope you get busted out of there soon,
Winter Marie. And anyone who says those belly shots (to avoid clotting, I believe) don't hurt is a big, old liar. The only good thing about having a completely numb abdomen frm all the surgeries is that i can't feel those things anymore. Sending strength and hope for healing your way-Ann

How many times they tell us it won't hurt. I think they dream ways up to give us pain. The worse surprise pain was the day they said I had to have a bone morrow test right then and there. Ok they said I may feel a little sting.... little sting my arse! !!! Pray you are better son. Jeff

My mom had a cute male nurse
My mom had a cute male nurse during her cancer treatment and she credits her recovery to this exposure lol. At 69 she says she doesn't want anything old but money lol. Glad you are going home. Take it easy. Lay off the chips (feel free to tell me the same). God Bless!

home yet?
by now I hope you are back in your own familiar home, finding comfort in your own bed. I sure wish I could wave a wand and make cancer disappear, but then it does seem that there is always something else that steps in. I'm glad they found your issue and fixed it and I sure hope things go more smoothly for you from now on.
Prayers to all.
