Hi all:
Healing and have to walk a lot. Try to find different parks. Hope to plant flower boxes and watch my sons volleball game on Sun.Wishing u the best and prayers for your scan on Mon.
Barb
Don't think she is going to have a very good time ,she is there in an Spanish commercial mission ,so lots of work !
Any way thanks for your wishes , enjoy your weekend JP.
Have a big hug.
I prepared the soil today for my vegetable garden. I bought my tomato plants and peppers yesterday. So my goal if the weather cooperates is to get everything planted. I also got some flowers to plant. It should be a good weekend because no treatment this week because of low platelets so I'm going to enjoy every minute of my good days. Everyone enjoy your weekend. Bless you. Jeff
Going to repair the busted hose, buy some grass seed, and throw it around the yard and water it. Got a "code enforcement violation" from this fascist little town I live in for having dead, brown lawn. They also give you one if your grass is more than 3 inches high. And your water bill becomes $200 if you try to water it. Love it, Love it, Love it. LOL!!!
Funniest thing is the code enforcement guy wrote the citation on the day my husband's friend was filling in the side yard with gravel They saw him sitting across the street. Now how did he know we weren't putting gravel in the entire yard?
Can you tell I hate civilization?
Hope everyone has a good weekend. Just drop by my house anytime if you're looking for stupidity and a good laugh.
Still kind of sick with this unknown Respiratory illness. I want to go to dim sum with a friend tomorrow, but I don't know I am not feeling well$ maybe I can stay home and read a bit.

We are participating in the neighborhood yard sale this weekend. Trying to clean out many things that we no longer use. Also, my son is attending his junior-high prom this weekend. That will be an exciting time for him! Hope you enjoy your time with your mother and siblings. Enjoy the weekend!
Don't they know wats on with you? is just the asthma ?.
Have the best possible weekend and try to finish the famous book!.
Thanks for posting here my dear friend.
again... i look forward to the Friday post and weekend plans for everyone.
Had three days of chemo this week, but gained wait for the 3rd week in a row.
we seem to have the nausea meds figured out.
My mom came up to Ohio from Florida to visit for the weekend.
Going to hang with Mom this morning. My sons and i are putting the ski boat into the water today at the lake and plan to watch my other son coach his 12 year old baseball team this evening.
Saturday, plan to pull some kids behind the ski boat and Sunday there is a prayer service & healing mass being put on by the fathers club at my sons high school, in my name. And, others who are in health battles will recieve anointing of the sick.
Hope you enjoy with mum, kids, the boat the match and the mass, Jesus what a weekend for somebody who is dealing with chemo!, must congratulate you for your attitude !.Enjoy it but be careful with skiing ,I don't know why but suspect the water must be still very cold in Michigan isn't ?.
Big hug my dear friend!
we're on the other side of Lake Erie from you... live in Toledo.
we used to waterski in the Maumee River and in Lake Erie... but we go to an inland lake in Adrian, MI area... near MIS.
You are very lucky to have so much family around you.....enjoy them.
Tonight my only plan is to grill steaks for me and my girls (husband is traveling). Nice, thick juicy steaks, rubbed with garlic and seasoned with salt and pepper, with some roasted vegetables on the side.
Tomorrow I am invited to a gala fundraiser for a cancer hospital here: One of my friends bought a table and invited me to join her group. It's a glamorous, fancy, black-tie event and potentially could be fun.
However I still don't have a sitter so don't know if I can swing it. If not, tomorrow I'm going to take the girls for a little getaway, either up to the mountains or somewhere north. Looking for a change of scenery.....things have felt busy (emotionally) lately.
I have grown to look forward to this thread of normalcy! Thanks Pepe for being so faithful. Tonight, I am having dinner with some work colleagues; Sunday, a faith sharing group I belong to is celebrating 15 years together with Mass and a brunch. In spite of the rainy weather here in Boston, it should be a lovely weekend.
I usually skip this thread because I never really do anything on weekends since I always have yard work to do and I'm broke. But this weekend I've been looking forward to seeing the new Avengers movie so I'm probably going to take the family to the drive-in to see it. It's much more fun than seeing it in a theater, especially when the weather is nice.
Oh yea, and yard work...
Hope everyone has nice weather...
CJ
I didn't know there were any drive-ins left alive. Our last one(with 6 screens) closed up about a year ago. Ah, the good ol' days where you didn't pay $10 for popcorn and $5 for soda. Have a good time.
Yes, the good old-fashioned drive in...hanging that clanky speaker off your window...and a time when you paid "by the car load" for just a handful of dollar bills....and then you snuck 2 extra people in the trunk for free...or as many as you could fit:)...and then pull to the back to let them out, LOL!
I always enjoyed the cartoons they showed before the main feature...Foghorn Leghorn, Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck...and the rest of the crew...
Funny thing then though, most of the time they had double features - and you didn't have to pay any extra...and you're right, Wolfen...concessions were cheap and as much of the experience as the movie itself.
That's great Americana right there...well enjoy the show.
We were too cheap. We took along our own popcorn and sodas. The last time we went, there were no speakers. You had to tune your radio to a certain frequency and that's how you got the sound.
Okay, fess' up. How many of you pulled that speaker right off the stand because you forgot to take it out of your window as you left? LOL!!
Pepe, you just don't know what you missed. For us in the States, what me missed was probably most of the movie.
How funny must be a drive in , we never had it in Europe but I allways thought it was a very funny way to se a movie!
Enjoy it and post even if you are doing just yard work , that's also a way to forget about the F....ing cancer!
Hugs.
I find myself rushing home from work on Friday just to log on and see how everyone is and what they are all doing for the weekend!
My grandbabies and mommy and daddy are heading to Houston for the week to spend with our other son so it is going to be very quiet this upcoming week... (our homes are next door to each other) so papa is in charge of feeding the chickens, the horses, the bunnies, the I think that is it! Yes we live in the country and have a small zoo!
but tomorrow papa and I are heading to Mountain View for the day and hope to hear some fiddles playing on the square! Hoping it is not too warm but warm enough! and hoping we don't forget our lawn chairs!
Enjoy everyone and hoping all have a great weekend!
i was pleased with the effort, walked non stop 10am to 9pm besides loo and massage stops and lunch and dinner.
go up 3am and did an hour with hundreds of midnight walkers.
got up 7am and did yoga and then more laps.
the whole family and some friends slept over with 1000s of others, its was an amazing experience and i have my marathon medal at last. next year who knows.
some ultra marathon runners made it 100km, i was happy with 50km. never done this before, i have recovered quiet welll except for the blisters.
Hi Pepe, I am staying positive and hoping my sisters will be down on the 16th. Mary's pain is under control and she finished radiation today. Sooooooo, I am starting to do all the things I do for "company". It will be a very special time for us. The first "sleep over" we have ever had as sisters. How cool is that?
Hugs to you and hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

I never knew if the chemo was "working". and it is!
Want to stay busy with fam and kids... but not with work!!!
