Hi my friends and enemies heheh. Just back from Bali( actually 2 weeks ago) am 75% + deaf from Scuba diving.Got infected chest and sinuses caught the bug on the plane.Have not been up to much bit weak.Doc has uped antibiotics. That will teach me the Oncologist said no bike riding, travelling, enclosed spaces yadda yadda yadda for 12 months only been less than 6 months maybe I should not have sent the postcard "I am in Bali glad you'r not LOL".
Well hit the ground running second day mountain biking, third day white water rafting, fourth day 3 scuba dives had to cancel the third went down too quick still have air and water in eustation tube hense the deafness.Might need a hole in my eardrums its been nearly 4 weeks. The birthday started with Breakfast went on through lunch and on to dinner frogs legs escargo comfit duck ,etc etc and the party of about 20 raved about the food that restaurant is a marvel its Belgium but also does local.Comfit duck $8-50 beat that. My good lady and I then went to a little backwater called Amed (after all the family and friends went home) Bali 20 years ago. She took 2 steps and sighed soo romantic hehehehehehe.Met a Marine up there what a character, Trained as a Doctor after he discharged now does free clinics for the Balinese in the Backwaters. Could wear the typwriter out with the adventures needless to say the best bit was taking 2 types of antibiotics and some pump inhibitor up for a friend who could not even afford the test for helicibactus He was eating without pain (which I can empathize with)but mine are not helicibactus.

    Wow
What an adventure! I take my hat off to you disregarding doctors orders and just going out living life. Unfortunately you are now paying for it. Can't say I blame you though. It got me thinking how my life has been nothing but sickness for the last seven months. Maybe it's time to seriously consider a vacation to help put this portion of my life behind me.

    Thanks for the uplifting post!

    What a Trip
Sorry you're paying for it now - but what a ride! Glad you at least had a fabulous time making yourself ill. I'm not saying it's worth it, but . . .

The worst part is you have to hear doc say "I told you so". Oh well.

    glad you're "home' safe.

    Ha ha
That's me and my big fish and I'm a fully grown adult. Best day of my life reeling that puppy in. Just shy of 40 inches. lol

Edit: oh just realized your were funning on the fish. Yep the parents must be at least the size of a six-foot sturgeon. (This WAS a Chinook salmon BTW. Long gone and 'et now...)
