He has been fighting cancer for 12 years. His initial tumor weighed 26 lbs. I left my life in Nevada to come help him and be with him until the end. I arrived March 5th and called the ambulance March 6th. His blood ct was 3.6 and he was in the hospital for 30 days. Doctors are afraid to operate because the cancer is mingled with his intestines, organs, arteries, and pushing on his stomach to the point he barely eats. We are home, now. He is doing radiation to try to stop internal bleeding, but after that we are suppose to contact hospice. I'm scared. We have no family here. I am helping him with his 12 year old son, who he has been raising on his own for the last 2 years. He is a very good father.
We live in Houston. Please contact me thru this site and direct me to support groups and any kind of help, we may need to better handle what is ahead. Its been very difficult for him and me. Dealing with all this is overwhelming. I can't sleep at night and my diabetes is out of control. I need to be alright to help my brother. I will appreciate any advise.
I admire you all for coming on this site and sharing your stories and experiences which help others in similar situations. God Bless each one of you.
