Just received Gerald White's book (signed with a nice little note) and MAARS CD, and I enthusiastically delivered it to my husband who was watching television

Can't say he shared my initial enthusiasm as The Masters was on. And my excitement was short-lived when I realized and voiced, "I don't have a CD player in the house." His response, "thank God". I'm feeling very under appreciated at the moment.

But I'm off to Best Buy to buy a CD player. I'm sure he'll be more enthusiastic once The Masters goes off. Does anyone else on this Board still listen to this CD and find it helpful?

Alice, one has the problem of knowing what would constitute proof of its value. However, for whatever meaning you care to ascribe to the fact, I've been listening to it within the last hour.

I don't know how things will turn out for me and I'm doing lots of things to move the odds in my favour but I intend to keep on listening to the CD for the foreseeable future.

I see from another thread that you've got it and from what you've said there, I also see that you've "got it"!

I'm pretty sure John will have enjoyed the Masters. From our point of view here there couldn't have been a more popular winner. Aside from his unusual golfing history and unorthodoxy, Bubba seems like a man who's delivering all the good things for society that many of had hoped to see coming from Tiger. (What a fall from grace that was by a man who had everything. I hope Tiger finds peace and can be reconstructed as the man he is meant to be; that he can lay the cocktail hostesses aside and get on with what his late Father once adumbrated as a great future serving humanity.)

I'm off in a little while, with my Wife, to meet an old golfing buddy of mine in the nearest town. I'm off all meds, sleeping well, trying to eat a hypercaloric diet but losing weight fast. Spirits good and just heard from my regular golfing partner who's returning from England (to Scotland) tomorrow and wanted to know whether I'm up for walking the course with him at Carnoustie at our regular tee-time on Friday. You betcha!

How is John doing? We each have our own journey and I hope he's going well.

    Thrilled with Masters outcome
Yes, John was thrilled that Bubba won. I walked in on the end and asked if Bubba was American, and his response was, "How many Bubba's do you know outside the states?" Touche for John.

He's doing pretty good; seems to be putting on a few pounds slowly; trying to walk everyday. The National Kidney Foundation is having a walk on May 6, and myself and many of John's and my friends and families are walking. It's only a 1.6 mile walk, but it's more than John's walked for quite some time. So he is pushing to get stronger so he can participate. He's very touched at the level of support he's received with many people donating on line and even more planning to be there and walk. So that's a good thing. He's still waiting to begin the MDX1106 votrient/sutent trial, the hospital and the insurance keep going back and forth with requests for more information. Very frustrating. But John's Dr. called him this week and wants him to start coming in every Thursday for shot of Exgeva. Said it's a requirement for trial. So I'm assuming he's expecting it to start soon.

I'm so happy you're drug free and feeling so much better. Enjoy your walk; smell the roses. . .
