tumor in esophagus causing problems--need help!

Hello,

I have a brother who has a big tumor in his esophagus. Lately, he's been having a hard time drinking nutritional milk. Food doesn't work for him anymore. It seems as though the tumor is blocking most of his food pathway to his stomach and the lower esophageal sphincter seems to be closed sometimes. He's been throwing up as a result. Sometimes he has to starve because the milk doesn't seem to go down his stomach. Has anyone experienced the same type of problem before? If yes, please tell me how you dealt with it like taking which type of drugs to open the lower esophageal sphincter or something else?

Also, my brother just had his J-Tube removed due to infections. The J-tube used to be the only way he could put the milk into his stomach.
