Tomorrow - First CT since trying votrient, then nexavar. Off both drugs now due to side effects. Will find out tomorrow what to do next??? It has been an up and down medication
cycle - hoping that it levels out.
One comfort, adobe, is that it's not too clear what the latencies are between administration of these drugs and their beneficial effects. You might have gained a lot of benefit already and may continue to do so even after having come off the meds. Effects can be cumulative and can be delayed. Also, if the drugs have been working they've given your immune system a potential helping hand. Coming off them then cuts the side-effects that have been undermining your immune response meantime and allows it to resume the fight against a weakened enemy. So, both the Votrient and the Nexavar may have been of use. I sincerely hope so anyway. You could watch 50 : 50 which I hear is good but maybe a good bit of old Laurel and Hardy might be more salutary.
Thanks a bunch Texas, it is 8pm here and we are leaving at 3am for a 9am appt. in San Francisco. I will be thinking about your encouraging word as we make the drive. Thanks-Adobe
Good luck tomorrow, Adobe. Are you going to UCSF? My son goes there...not for kc, but for other kidney issues. I really like everyone there.
Anyways, sleep well. Thinking good thoughts for you......
You are working MDX Boy, sending your strength to all of us! Your vibes worked for me, I had good ct results yesterday, no new mets, existing mets the same. Sending same strength back to you!
Thank you for sending good luck, and my luck was good yesterday. I did not go to UCFS=a super great place to go!! I happen to go to CPMC. Stay in touch , this is a great site!

Always appreciate your information - very comforting about the the benificial effects of these drugs, and the that the effects can be cumulative and delayed. Laurel and Hardy, thanks for reminding me, I like them and my husband Loves them!!
Read your info many times about the drug effects. Very encouraging, since when I am not taking something I get quite concerned about what is stopping the disease.
Now, about YOU! We are all here with you, and we all need you to keep us on on track- so while you are taking care of yourself, do not forget about all your friends out here, we need you!

Can't wait to hear some more good news.
Think also of the inspiring exploits of our poster boy on MDX-1106 - that's enough to put anyone in good heart.
