    Maybe it's not cancer

Maybe it's not cancer related...it could be just a sinus infection. I've had one now for two weeks, and it came with terrible headaches too. Just a thought...

I hope that you feel better soon!

    hi Pepe
I think runny nose and headache are side effects. Tell your doctor or nurses, but I wouldn't think you need am MRI, or anything.
If 5fu is a part of folfox that's probably the cause, but run it by the doc or nurse.

    Hi Pepe,
I did 7 treatments of Folfox w/Avastin and then went to Avastin only. Before the chemo break he just gave me in January, I was having horrible migraines along with rebound headaches from Fioricet. Haven't had them since about 15 years ago. Sometimes mine are migraines and then just Monday I had a horrible one but took some Sudafed and it went away. I also had brain scan and they found no problems. Weather has been crazy so it makes me wonder too whether I can chalk it up to treatment or sinus problems. Best of luck with them; I know how painful some of mine get. My Onc let me switch back to Advil and Aleve when before February they told me no aspirin. That has helped me a little more than using acetaminophen. Hang in there!

    Hugs,

    Pam

    A new normal
Headache, constant numbness and tingling, nausea, and dry eyes and nose were the new normal during Folfox for 7 months for me. Once I had it in my mind that a constant headache, nausea, and numbness and tingling was normal I was better mentally. This was my new normal for a short period of my life. Also being extremely sensitive to cold. (I had to use gloves to retrieve things out of the fridge or freezer, also shopping at the food store.) Most of the symptoms went away 6 months after chemo. If I get hot or cold it takes me much longer to adjust.

    Best Always! mike

    Yes
Everytime I get my infusion I have to take a migraine pill, sometimes while I am still in the infusion; other times when I get home, depending when the headache and sinus ache first occurs. Have had this with every infusion since the beginning.

    Fentnal Patch?
I have a colostomy puch and am on folfox 6 with 5fu and erbitux.
not able to take Tylenol or Advil as my cancer is in the liver.
not able to take asprin or anything else... so they persribed a Fentinal Patch.
    (check the spelling of that).

i don't use it all the time, but that patch thing works.
ask you onc about it or other patches.

    good luck to you.

Thank you my cyberfamily , again seems it's a question of
Folfox since today is day 9 th after infusion and the pain has suddenly disappeared ,so it seems I'm having most of my troubles on days 6,7and 8. that coincides with the " NADIR" of FOLFOX. ( maximum activity days of the chemo).
Thank you for your concern my friends.
    Ahhhh, the joys of FOLFOX!
