    fascinating
    Works on a principal similar to a tens unit. Never heard of it. Ray, are there any studies published showing the advertised effectiveness? If so, this actually would be worth looking at, for some. I wonder how expensive this little gem is.

    Encouraging and we are all
    Electrical....everything in our body works in this manner. We convert your abnormal heart rhythym by what? :) Electroshock treatments for depression (bizarre I know, but still used today and effective for many).

    I was on a search for xerostoma myself and came across a study done my MD Anderson in Houston, the best cancer center in the US (Did you know King Hussein came there for treatment years ago?). In this study, they did accupuncture to patients going through the exact treatment I had, radiation along with chemo. In the end, those who had accupuncture throughout the course of their treatment had "significantly more saliva" than those who did not. I also found a study done in England with the same type of findings.

    Electrical stimulation makes sense to me. It works the same way accupuncture does.

    Good share, I look forward to hearing from anyone who pursues this. Also, food for thought. I am in the fortunate 20% who Pilocarpine works for. This tells me there is Something there to work with. How about you? Have you had Any, no matter how small, success with medications and xerostoma?

    But he's gone from time to time. If he sees this, I'm sure he'll give you the details. What I know from previous posts is that he is in Australia, where salagen isn't approved for this indication. Although he has access to pilocarpine drops, he's been unable to find a doctor who would prescribe for him. Maybe we could mail him some?

    MY Dentist actually mentioned the Priciple idea and I found this. I have a tense machine and its very tempting as I am dry as a bone hehe.
