Hi, im writing on behalf of my dad, he was dianosed with sinus cancer in November. He has recently returned home from hospital after surgery where he needed reconstruction to his jaw.
Although he has a lot of support at home, I think this site would really help him as you have all been there.
As you all know , this is a time of adjustment, any advice to help his recovery would be fab, after all you are the people to ask!!!

    Thank you for supporting your dad in this way. There are times during treatment that he will not be able to post, feel free to share what dad is going through and we will gladly share what helped us. Sweetblood has a Superthread that comes up weekly, you will be able to get information to help before some things happen, or at least know that it is something we go through during treatment. Is your father scheduled for chemo and or radiation?

    This is a wonderful support. I wish I knew about this site the first time I went through radiation. As a caregiver you are more than welcome here too.

    And to your dad, too - should he decide to post here. As you've surely noticed, lots of wonderful survivors and caregivers post here. Hope recovery goes smoothly for your dad.

    Toncil cancer was my beast....., but after sixteen weeks of four different types of chemo and seven of those weeks concurrent with daily rads.

    You don't mention above, has your father had any cancer treatment, was the reconstructive in preparation... I'm a little confused I guess....

    He had surgery to remove the
    He had surgery to remove the cancer from his upper jaw and behind his nose, they removed part of his upper jaw, the roof of his mouth and I bit of his nose. The reconstruction was to rebuild all of those. He will know tomorrow what further treatment the doctors intend
