Biospy of Lymph Nodes Inconclusive

I just got home from the surgeon that did my mediastinscopy and port placement 2 weeks ago. My biospy report was back and he told me that one of the lymph nodes test inflamed a little and came back as inconclusive for infection or even cancer. When I ask him what that mean it stated that it could have been too early for it the be cancer. Well that makes since!!! NO!! When I aks if that meant I have to take rads as well as chemo he told me that my onc will have to make that call. Has anyone else had nodes as "Inconclusive"?

    How about another pathologists diagnosis?
    Hi Ellenm4,in reading your post, I would say the good news is that nothing came out strikingly positive, that I would consider good!!I however would really ask to see if you could have a second run at looking at the biopsy slides.

    I wish for you much peace of mind ...let us know what the onc has to say.

    Thanks Cathy...not sure where my head is. I will talk to my onc Friday about this. Reading this did make me feel a little better.
