Onc. appt. scan results

in Colorectal Cancer #1
Spot that onc. was suspicious of is showing calcification. No spread. I asked him what calcification meant...he said when the body heals it deposits calcium in those places, and with it showing calcification it's much less worriesom. He said we will scan again in March. Like a dumb a$$ I started crying. He looked at me and asked "tears of joy?" Are you kidding me, this is the report I have been worring about for the past two weeks, thinking he'd say it's spread and back on chemo...this was such a relief!!

    I've been off chemo for a couple of months now, have thoroughly enjoyed not having to be on Folfiri, I was certain he was gonna put me back on it, they did the blood work and all, so I figured here we go again....when he said see you in March all that pent up anxiety just came flowing out. No way is anyone gonna waite on me....

    Thanks Pepe, gonna enjoy the holidays that's for sure :) I'm responsible for the ham at the family get together Christmas Eve, here I am in my 50's and I've never made a spiral ham, let alone for a large crowd!!! My family aren't big on ham, so I've never had occasion to make one....YIKES!!!

    So happy for your news!

    As for the ham, if you buy one at the grocery just follow the cooking instructions for temp and amount of time that come with it. I like to score the top of a ham and baste with a combo of brown sugar and crushed pineapple.
