NUTS! My sister just called....she has joined the league of Sisters in Pink...sigh...pathology not back yet, but it looks early stage.

So, not to be outdone by her little sister (me), my sister joins the ranks of a survivor of 2 cancers...anal and now breast...(mine was rectal and breast)...

Hugs, Kathi

That is not good news but
That is not good news but sounds like it is in early stage.Mine was also but not to say we don't worry. It is a shock to a persons system.I've had a niece friends and mom dx.I am a 2 year survivor the others have been dx years ago.In a few years I will feel better about myself.

You and your sister will be able to support one another. my fiends and my niece are supporative. Still though they've been dx a few years before me.Past the 5 year mark.

Both of you dx with 2 cancers. That is unusal.I sometimes wonder how this all comes about. What is causing this and what can we do.I think nothing. if it happens it happens and we do what we have to. I hear and read some of the most unusual situations when it comes to cancer.

Wishing you and your sister good health and hope if it is cancer it has been caught early.
    Keep us informed.

So Sorry to hear about your sister
When I was diagnosed I biggest fear was passing the beast to my granddaughter and sister, nieces and so on. I did the Brac test right away and it came back negative. I was so releived but since then I think there are way to many families like mine that has many people with cancer and tested negative. It seems that there has to be something. Yours is the most unusal I have heard of though and I will be praying for you both.

My prayers go out to both of you. Cancer just sucks! You know she has the support of a lot of us pinks and such a great role model in her sister.

Hey but have her join us if she will.

    So Sorry, Kathi.
I read your post, and immediately felt the pain you are feeling. I just got the news that my granddaughter, Brittany, is going in for an ultrasound next week for a lump the size of a marble in her breast. She is the middle child of my daughter, Kelly, who passed in 2004, and the mother to Casey Alexander who passed in 2009. This little family has had enough sadness, so we are all rallying around her to hope that this is just a cyst or something easily removed. You and your sister will be in my thoughts, and hopefully she will get through treatment without too much trouble. This must be tough on your family, and always keep in mind that we are here for you, as you have been here for so many of us. Hugs, Judy

    Thank you, dear sisters!
I have not heard anything more about the path...but I wanted to send great hugs to all of you for your support!!!

She has a great attitude...and why not? Her (our) mom had endometrial and then breast cancer and lived to be 1 month shy of 88 and passed from non-cancer related pneumonia (April, 2011), and me, her full sister had rectal followed by breast cancer and I just celebrated 5 years NED....

I just need to ride heard on my daughter to keep her out of trouble...*smile*... her response when she heard about her aunt was "So, I'm certain this will skip a generation now (meaning her)!"

    Hugs, Kathi
