has anyone gotten artery damage from radiation?

Hi everyone, I have NSCLC dx. 09, I had the maximum amount of radiation to my upper right lobe that is considered medically safe, and I am currently in remission, however I am still currently having ct-scans, and my Onc. says things are good. I also get a print out of the findings from the scans, and I noticed on the one I just had in Sept. which included the abdomen stated that there is evidence of atherosclerosis. My Onc. never brought this up or suggested I seek attention for this. I realize this is not his area of expertise and perhaps the reason why it never came up. My question is this: I am curious to know if anyone on this board who had maximum radiation to the lung, develop this as a result? Any feed back or opinions are welcomed, and would be most helpful.
