Has anyone heard from Daisylin wife of Lee?

They have been in my thoughts.

    Just yesterday
    Hey Sal,

I saw her post on the thread about the J-Tube clog so I know she has been here recently. Lee also posted a thread on his pain today. She works, so maybe she doesn't get to post as often as she would like...

    Regards,
    Michelle

    Yes, I'm here,
I've had the crazy, busy week from you know where..... but I have been reading all your posts, and will catch up on them in the next few days. We've just moved Lee's mom to a nursing home, so that's kept me hopping! She's mid stage alzheimer's, and we're really looking forward to her getting some extra care, that we just have not been able to give her lately. So, between that, my job, and trying to keep the household together, I've not had much time for surfing!

We are going to the endocrinologist on Monday, so we're optimistic that we will get some of Lee's issues dealt with. Also, an appointment with the palliative care doc tomorrow, and likely increase the pain meds. The dose he's on now is just not doing the trick.

We've finally decided on the stent, I know it comes with a mixed bag of issues, but honestly, what choice do we have? He can either risk bleeding out every 2 weeks with stretching (if you recall, the surgeon had a hard time doing the first one, and was scared of tearing tissue, since he's so closed up) , not do it and face aspiration and pneumonia, or have a stent. So, the stent it is, we don't have an appointment yet, but I assume it will be within the next few weeks. So, fingers crossed and prayers please!! We've ordered an electric hospital bed, so elevation should be a snap.

    Thanks for thinking of us,
    Chantal

    Chantal's POSTS
    Chantal,
Please know that we are behind you and Lee 10000000000% (I gave you more percents than I did Lee earlier, but don't tell him. It WILL go to his head.)

I know how hard the stint is to face but I am hoping he may be one of the 'success' stories, especially since he is NOT shrinking the tumor with Chemo or radiation, I don't think it will slip. I hope it enables him to EAT and swallow real pain meds again.
And his pride. LOL. I know I swallowed mine and they haven't seen it since!

We all miss you when you don't post for a few hours!! Nice to be missed, huh?
What's all this stuff you have to do? Work, Lee, Household, Lee's mom, etc.
YOU are an amazing person, Chantal. You have kept it all glued together, like Michelle, and are still going strong in the face of this horrible disease. I am very proud of you and I know Lee is lucky to have you, and you, him. Hang in there.
I think you are doing great.

We are all rooting for you two.
    All of my love.

    Thanks Eric,
the 'glue' feels like its starting to get worn out and weather beaten. I've been just so exhausted, physically and mentally lately, but it is certainly nice to feel the love here.
Thanks, and love you all back....

    Duct Tape
    Chantal,

When the glue fails get some duct tape! That stuff is incredible and I would help with the application process if you were closer to us! But I shall be there in spirit with you as you duct tape the world around you! Even if just a metaphor, the intent to send you love is still just as real! Glad to hear that your mother-in-law will get some more attention and maybe you two can breathe a bit easier on that front. I too will be saying many prayers for the procedure to go as planned with the intended outcome.

    Love and hugs!
