Stenosis in rectum, Anyone have to have surgery to aleviate problems from this condition. Husband is going thru misery to get this problem solved, first they do labs, then scans, colonostopy, biopsy of stenosis next is MRI. All tests are negative so far for cancer. Still holding our breath, husband 3 years in remission.

I had severe stenosis in the rectum, or what I had left of it after surgery (only a couple of centimeters). The stenosis traveled up the colon and I suffered for over 9 months until I realized it would never get better. Talk to your doctors. The only recourse for me was a permanent ostomy. My cancer was gone, but I simply could not heal.

I wish you and your husband only the best. The ostomy is really easy to adapt to if that's his option.

    Many hugs, Vicki
