Aquaphor
Hi
My husband just completed 28 radiation treatments and I think the Aquaphor ointment was a God send. His neck blistered but the ointment did help. Because he's claustrophobic he also needed a chill pill to be able to handle it. His Doc recommended Atavan and that seemed to work. As for pain inside the throat, he used Fentanyl pain patches and liquid oxycodone. Best of luck to your mom Jason.0 -
Pre-Ice
Jason,
Nick found that icing the radiation site really helped "the burn". He put an ice pack on the radiation point about an hour before radiation started.
Best of luck to your mom as she goes through treatment.
