well later today is round four of chemo you would think I am use to it by now but I am not. It seems like the after effects and lasting almost all the days before the next chemo. I ended up in the ER last night I had been trying to go the bathroom from 3:30pm and till 8pm while I was in the ER. With in a few minutes before they came to give me the enama (not sure if I spelled that right lol) I finally went. So I spent three hours in the ER for nothing lol. Well I guess that is all for now.

    FEEL BETTER, ANNE
Sorry to hear you had to be in the ER - I was in a couple of weeks ago, so I know it's not fun. But glad you had relief. Constipation is miserable. And chemo, by the way, is cumulative, so the symptoms tend to feel worse as treatments progress. But you are almost done with treatments, right? And then those nasty side affects will slowly back off and you'll be feeling well again.

Take care, Anne. Sending (((HUGS))) and Prayers!

I hope you feel better Anne
I hope you're starting to feel better. I know how miserable side effects can be because I've been on constant chemo since last year and I'm getting more and more side effects. I've also experienced the constipation and I take colace and senokot every day. These helps keep me regular and I asked the my doctor about it and he said Senokot was a vegetable laxative and safe, so that's what I've been doing. It seems that every chemo drug can cause constipation. Maybe if I can ever get off this chemo (which right now I'm doubting), I can go back to some normalcy.

    chemo side effects
I'm so sorry that your constipation was so severe. I think it's my worst side effect. There should be a different word for this sort of constipation for it's very hard to explain to people who have never experienced this to this extent. I found these adult fiber gummies at Target and they are delicious and actually giving me some relief. You might want to give them a try.

I have two more treatments with the taxol/carbo and advastin and then five rounds of just advastin. They did say that when I start with the advastin only that my hair will grow back I can't wait for that.

My heart goes out to you as I remember that so well. I did the 6 rounds of Taxol/Carbo and it seemed like towards the end I no sooner had a day when I kind of felt ok and it was time to go for it all over again. But, hang in there! I know it's rough and I'm praying for you.
