Intestinal inflammation

Considering all that I've been through, and all the chemo that has been poured into my system, I'm doing well. However, I do have this problem.

Before chemo I had no digestive isues. After chemo my digestive system is making to much inflammation. Dr. doesn't know why. I have had upper, and lower, G.I. both were normal, no problems. I had tests last week, no Crohns, no issues. Doc stratching his head. Now doc wants me to swallow a camera so he can see what is going on in my intestines.

Has anyone had digestive issues, and if so what was the cause, and solution. Any information will be appreciated. Once again thanks ladies.

Jennifer

    Hi Jennifer -- I never
Hi Jennifer -- I never experienced what you have, however, I've had issues with my system down there for quite some time. It got worse during chemo, but my drastic diet changes have improved them. There are just certain things I can no longer eat - period. My body just have had enough of them I guess so some things are difficult for it to process.

I wonder if a diet change might help you. Are you taking any pills?

I hope someone else here has a better response. I wish you best.

No, I didn't have inflammation but I did get indigestion with the second chemo. I just wonder if eating alot of greek yogart, homemade lentil soup, etc. would help. Experement with changing the diet. Are you consuming much sugar? Sugar can make inflamation. Sorry, I can't think of anything else to suggest. Hope it goes away before he rams a camera down you throat. Ouch!

I have had a digestive issues which started after 2nd Chemo
I had craps and stomach pain for two months afterI finished Chemo. I took Prevacid 30mg daily, probiotic Acidophylus and change my diet to make it easy for my body. Slowly it did come back. I am surprised that oncologist does not know that Chemo causes stomach problems

    I do I do!
Yes I have had horrible digestive issues! I have had the upper and lower GI, I have had colonoscopy, endoscopy, MRI, CT, and Ultrasounds. I am now Lactose intolerant and have irritable bowel syndrome. It all sounds horrible I know but I have gotten pretty used to it and have learned to work with it. Most recently I was down and out for 6 weeks, lots of tests were run and it turned out my gall bladder had gone south on me. I had it removed on Tuesday and by Wednesday WAHLAH I was feeling much better, sore from surgery yes but the yucky tummy i had had for 6 weeks was gone. So I will now have to wait and see if it also improves my IBS. Hope you feel better soon.
