I saw where some pink sisters are talking about food, so, let's talk.

And if we are talking Italian, bring on the spaghetti and meatballs!

YUM!

    Love Tiramisu
One of my all time favorites is Tiramisu. I think it's lady fingers, cream and coffee liqueur - have to have one of the Italian sisters be more specific, I just know it's delicious!

Last night we had a simple dinner, but, it was delicious. My hubby grilled butterfly pork chops outside and we put them over pasta with butter and poppy seeds. I also fixed some peas from the garden ( yum ) and had homemade rolls. Yum again!!!!!!

    Simple but good!

    Italian Food
If we are going to talk about Italian food, I must say that I make a terrific lasagna from scratch - including the sauce. I also roast a bulb of garlic or elephant garlic and make my own garlic bread (when I am really inspired). I am not so terrific with vegetables.

My basil has been great this year,
so it's Pesto. On pasta, with tomatoes or my favorite - spread over a bar of cream cheese. Then dip crackers or croutons or baguette bread into it. With a glass of red wine, nothing is better!

I have to say that the only bummer about all these wonderful Italian dishes, is it's so hard for me to not have a glass of wine with pasta! Been drinking it since we were kids basically. Our parents used to mix a little wine with water when we were little. Can you believe that LOL!!! So having pasta with no wine just doesn't seem right, but I'm trying to be really good, knowing my liver has enough to do. And, actually, it doesn't taste as good on chemo.

But I love to roast or BBQ veggies this time of year and just toss them with olive oil, pepper and parmesan on any type of noodle :)!!

My daughters favorite are my meatballs. We make them as an appetizer, fried, not in the sauce. Super yummy!!!!
