    Hope you get some relief
I'm just a little ahead of you - finished rads March 30. I have a spot, not the whole site 'cause that's pretty big, that sometimes gets itchy and sore but not often. Heat reaally seems to enhance the problem. Have you talked to the radiation folks? I used, and am still using, Gold Bond Ultimate Soothing - unscented. It has helped me a lot because that skin is still really dry. Oh yeah. THe spot that bothers me is the spot that blistered and peeled first and most. Maybe that has something to do with it.

    Call your RO's office and
Call your RO's office and tell them, I believe I do remember one of the girls saying they used hydro-cortisone cream for itchy areas. You know the stuff they use for athletes foot etc. But call your doctor first and see what they recommend. I finished my rads three weeks ago and I too have only one small area that itches at times, I just rub it and it's fine.

    Good luck,

    Hi, Molly
I had itching off and on in the whole treatment field, more so in the areas that burned the worst, for at least 6 months after finishing radiation.

My radiation oncologist said it was completely normal, and told me I could use whatever anti-itch lotion from the drugstore I liked, but definitely run it by your doctor or the nurse, just to be safe.

I look like a lion took his paw & swiped at my collar bone/neck area, huge dark dry itchy areas, quite sore. in my 5th week of radiation and Dr hasnt wanted me to use anything on it.
Its all about what your Dr wants you to do. Because they are all different.
    Good luck!

I noticed i itch more at night and when i do come in from being out. I never blistered from rads.I do try to keep it moist with the aquaphor or eucerin lotion the same things i was using during rads treatment.I have appoint. with rads Dr. next Friday. I think i'm going to change my appoint. for an earlier one. thanks again pink sisters. MOLLYZ

Yep, 2 months out and still
Yep, 2 months out and still scratching away!! The best part is I can't even feel what I'm scratching! It feels like I'm scratching a sleeping limb! Went in the pool with plenty of sunblock on while on vacation and still rashed out, so I'm double itchy!! I walk around with my hand under my shirt itching most of the day and night! Good luck!

I itched too and peeled a bit. I kept putting lotion on and still do today to massage my mastectomy scars.

I got what they call a rads
I got what they call a rads rash and my rads oncologist gave me a prescription for some cream that cleared it right up. Is that what you have or just itching? The itching could just be dry skin and you might need to keep using the Aquaphor.
