My mother has worked all her life , some 25 years straight. Gave me a kidney in 2007 , just that kind of person didnt think twice. She was the first to get laid off , and had more time than anybody in the company. Now with no insurance just cant afford the Mayo clinics door. So know we are searching for a 2nd opinion. We know that we are dealing with a stage 4. I looked up the Mayo's treatments that looked very different than the oc said at first. So now to looking up more hospitals that may cover??

    Call Medicaid
Don't know what state you are from, but many states, mine included can help with coverage for this type condition. Ask them if your mother could be eligable for services as Medically Indegent. It is income based, but the guidelines are fairly broad. Also many teaching hospitals have foundations that can help pick up the tab for treatment in their hospital. Call the Oncology Social Worker and ask for guidance. That is what they are there to do. Sam

hey William , thanks . Never thought about the state rep , good one. The S.S office has all the paper work for starting medicaide. I hope that will put us in time for the 2nd opinion - God I pray , the Moffet Center is suppose to call next week.
