Pain AFTER j-tube

Two months after the MIE, Tom is generally doing fine. He says he feels 75% back to normal. But he is still experiencing some occasional pain and continues to take pain medications.

I was wondering if anyone has experienced pain in the area where j-tube was places AFTER the tube has been removed. And if so how long before it goes away? Tom's j-tube was removed about 7 weeks ago and the incision is healed already, but from time to time (no correlation with the time or size of the meals) he would still feel pain in that area. Sort of tingling pain. The pain is tolerable and is easily controlled by meds. We are supposed to see his doctor in the end of August, and I am wondering if this pain is normal or something we need to seek doctor's opinion right away. Tom has only been on j-tube for about 3 weeks after the surgery and had no problem with it being placed & used.

And then also his back pain, which we have already consulted with doctors about. We were told it is normal and suggested to do some physical therapy. Hard to say if it got better, if it did then only slightly.

All the best to everyone,
Olya
