How long before the symptoms go away?

in Lymphoma (Hodgkin and Non-Hodgkin) #1
Hello everybody!

I had NPL Hodgkin's Lymphoma stage 3 for who knows how long. I did the RCHOP regiment for 9 months and now have been cancer free for almost 3 months. My question is how long before my stomach stops hurting all the time and the overwhelming fatigue goes away? I let my oncologist know about the symptoms but she didn't seem that concerned. Also I've been getting the night sweats periodically and lost 22lbs in 2 months. Has anybody had a similar experience? What's the odds of it being back? I'm up for a CT scan next month.

    I am not quite sure what you mean by NPL. Unless you meant NHL. As far as it being back you really need to have it checked by your Onc. So many other things can cause the symtoms you are having,including a return. Thats why it has to be checked out.I was diagnosed last May and went thru 6 rounds of R-CVP and the fatigue was terrible. It took me at least 6 months after my last treatment to feel normal again. I am in remission since Oct 2010. I hope it has not returned but please get it checked as soon as possible.     Thanks for the advice. Six months? My next visit is 2 days after my CT scan (don't worry). NPL stands for Nodular Predominant Lymphocyte, apparently it's very rare.
