Ovarian Cancer Stage IV

Myself don't have cancer but my friend has. She is only 37 years old and was diagnosed on 29 April 2011 with stag IV ovarian cancer. She is already admitted into Palliative Care and is growing weaker by the minute.

I don't understand it. Reading other peoples stories it seems that hers was caught at the end and there is not a lot they could do for her and the treatment available to her is so expensive that we don't know what to do.

It seems so hopeless. She was a single mother for over ten years and 4 years back she met the man of her dreams. Evreyting was suppose to be better now but is it only getting worse. Some people just can't get a break.

has your friend had surgery or chemo yet
there is always hope. Your friend is so young!! I am not sure why your friend is in pallative care and not in some sort of treatment. Therre are many stage 3 and 4 survivors. I hope you find the answers you seek..val
