After a long year from my husband's diagnosis april 1, 2010of IIIB lung cancer-tumor in each lung to May 17, 2011 when the surgeon said you are cancer free we don't need to see you anymore except for ct scans every 3 months and then spreading those out as time goes by. 6 cycles of chemo, 2 lobectomies- RUL and LLL, and an extra surgery to fix air leaks in the left lung, couple of collapsed lungs and finally we are on our way to a new normal. I didn't think we'd get there and know that the insidious beast still may be lurking out there. BUT right now I want to rejoice in the moment and keep moving forward. Thanks for all the hope and encouragement from this board. You gave me strength and info and courage for this battle. It's happy dance time! |

Positive Re-inforcement
Thanks for sharing. My husband wants everyone to remain positive for him. Your good news just re-inforces anything is possible. He goes back to the doctor today to find out what the plan of treatment is. The worse thing for me is waiting to hear from my husband to find out everything. Although he may go to the doctor in the am, other inmates are seeing the doctor as well. Therefore it may be in the late pm when I hear from him. Thanks again for sharing and congratulations!

Plenty of cold beer here, which we have been partaking copious amounts of-all in a dignified, celebratory manner, of course ;-) And where do you drink your beer?
