My head has sore spots can't even touch my hairs is falling out now to sore to shave does anyone have any suggestions. Trouble with my power port again. Sorry I need to vent...Been so bad this time that I walk 5 feet and I am out of breath and so tired my heart feels like it is going to jump out of my chest.. Wow. I never experienced the sore head thing. Why don't you give your chemo team a call and see if that's considered normal. They may have to adjust your infusion.
I did get very weak I think after the 2nd infusion.
    It will get better soon.
    Cheers

As my hair was falling out I had the soreness too. It kinda feels like your scalp is sunburnt doesn't it? That pain will eventually go away once the hair has completely fallen out. Mine seemed to travel in quadrants. One day it would hurt on the left side, and a few days later that would subside and then move to the top or right side of my scalp.

I know I personally had mine shaved about this time and it hurt while my sister was doing it. Maybe use the scissors first and then be gentle and slow with the razor. Maybe just cut your hair back to say a quarter inch growth.

I'm sorry your having to go through this, it brings back memories for me. I am currently in my reconstruction phase following my mastectomy six weeks ago. I must tell you though my last chemo treatment was on January 7, 2011 and I have about a half inch hair growth on my crown today. Better days are coming Elizabeth... hang in there.

    This takes me back...
Wow, it's strange to hear someone going through what I did and
somehow make me realize just how tough it was. You know how
the saying goes you don't see the forest for the trees. But I made
my way out of that forest and so will you!!

I don't want to scare you but I had the exact same symptoms as
you and for me the effects were cumulative it got worse with each one.
Like you I felt it mainly in my head, rushing and sore spots. And also
I felt it in my legs, they were like rubber, really heavy and walking was
strenuous, I'd be out of breath in no time. The heart thing scared me
since I was on Herceptin. But I bounced back! Yuuppiee
Don't make the mistake I made and get frustrated with yourself, try
to soothe and pamper yourself. I know it can't be helped sometimes
but remind yourself that you are going through a lot and don't need
the added stress. So maybe some gentle yoga, acupuncture really
helped me with my rubber legs (:

    Hugs,
    Ayse

    2nd 3rd etc...
I finished chemo in Jan.2011 started last year in July, yes your scalp hurts it moves around today this spot tomorrow another spot but it will get better i didn't shave mine that is a personal choice i wore a bonnet in the house and enough hair held on so i had a pony tail with a hat. Now the chemo got worse i thought it would be better the 2nd time also until i read enough about it and it does have a accumulative affect on you (it builds up).I couldn't walk from one room to another with a clothes basket with out having to stop and rest everybody is different when your like that just stop and rest chemo is poison going in our body i thought my legs where somebody else's Oh my do i remember that I spit all the time because i had nasty taste come in my mouth a lot on this site call it a metallic taste but nothing about it taste metallic to me it was awful i blowed blood out my nose seems like forever but now it's all gone I'm only bothered with neuropathy now, it's something that feels like arthritis, chemo damages the nerve endings and they have to grow back and it takes up to a year for that, your Dr. can get you something for that after chemo is over good luck and hang in there it will get better keep your strength up so rest rest rest and drink water water water and more water to get that out of your system. HUGS MOLLYZ

    Sorry
Sorry you're having such a hard time. Please call your onc or his office and see if there's anything they can do to help. Sounds like something they should be made aware of.

    Good luck.
