Oh, dear. I'm so glad he had a peaceful passing. I will be praying for peace and comfort for you, Susie, and for all the family. Kerry was MUCH loved here at CSN and will be missed and remembered always. That "old coot" was a sweetheart!
Feel very sad that you have to leave us,but you deserve to be in that wonderful place that you are already enjoying, where you will not hear anymore about this terrible disease.
I will always remember you.
Rest in peace dear Kerry. You will be missed but not forgotten.
Susie and family, please know that we appreciate your sharing Kerry with us and I hope that the loss you feel today will be lessend in the future as you remember that special man named Kerry.
for your families loss.i wish i could have got to know him better.im just glad he is no longer in pain"God picks us up when the world drops us"...Godbless...johnnybegood
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Kerry was very loved here at CSN. His humor and determination helped all of us. I know you will miss him beyond belief. I pray that you will find some comfort in your memories.
So long friend, I know one thing for sure. your not in "MAMBY PAMBY LAND YA JACKWAGON"
you are missed and loved. You were a big part of why I stuck around here in the beginning.
RIP.............. :( Tom
My prayers are now with and for your family may they find peace.
My prayers go out to Kerrys family and all of you here. I know how special he was and how much he will be missed. God bless you all. Love,Sue (FNHL-2-3A-6/10)
Hi Jennie, thanks for relaying the news to everyone.
To Kerry's wife Susie and to his son...
When I saw the news today I felt sad, but also knew it was coming. From what I heard, it sounds like Kerry was continuing to hang on when it was time to let go, so I know it had to be very difficult and very draining on you both just watching and waiting for the inevitable to happen. My prayers right now are for the two of you to find rest, peace, and comfort somehow. Kerry is now at peace, but it's hard for you to feel he has been taken from you. Life can be so very hard. I believe God gives us comfort and peace even in the midst of our sorrows and I believe He can give you comfort and peace right now.
Take care- Kerry had a huge impact on so many here on CSN and he will never be forgotten.
Susie and family....you had a wonderful man in your life (I know I didn't have to say that...you already knew). He always had something to say....and it was always great wisdom!
As I said this morning in my mom's memorial "He has not left, he has just moved. From in front of your eyes, into your heart, where he will live on forever".
I am so sad that you have lost your beloved Kerry. This beast took my husband too and I know the pain you must be feeling. I am glad you have your family around you for support,
Please know that he is now at peace and that you are not alone
Yesterday, I did ask that Kerry let me know when he was going, just so I could tell him good bye..I was on my way to Nashville this morning and clouds filled the air, completely socked in, at 7:46 the sun came out between what looked to be a solid mass of clouds. I thought immediately, Kerry's going home, I knew when I signed on what I would find, I also take special solace in knowing where he is. I'm sad that he is not here with us but happy because I know where he is now. I don't believe in luck as I said before, and I know he's saying right now that he indeed saved a seat for me. He is a very special person and one I was very honored to call my friend. Love and Peace to all of you and family through these times as well as forever, Clift
I am so sorry for your loss. I can't even imagine it; just knowing how we at CSN are reeling from the loss pf our beloved Kerry. You can rest assured that Kerry touched so many of us in a positive way, + he had a way of making everyone feel special. He coined the 3 most important words in survivourshp - "attitude, attitude, attitude". He told the most incredible stories. He talked to us about chopping wood and how therapeutic that was for him. He talked to us about his love of hunting, and passing those skills down the generations. He also made clear his love of good food. He made us laugh, and somehow seemed to know when we needed a funny story the most. Above all, his love + respect for his family shone through in his posts. Kerry will sit in my heart always.
I am so very sorry. As a personal note, when I found myself feeling so very down in the dumps, I log on and there is Kerry, with one of his stories, he had a way of saying things as they are, no sugar coating, and he lifted my spirits. That is one gift he gave to me and so many others, the gift of laughter and attitude.
Dear Susie, I offer my deepest condolences to you and your family, Kerry will certainly be missed. I always looked forward to his posts as they often gave me a laugh whenever I seemed to need one the most. We'll certainly miss the ol'coot. Love, Cynthia and Rick
I do not post often but I stay in the background and continue to keep up with everyone on the board. I always enjoyed Kerry post. He was such a strength to everyone. Susie I so understand you lost, having lost the love of my life five months ago. We too at the end were praying for a peaceful exit. One day at a time...some days will be better than others and some will be almost unbearable. Lean on your family, friends, and the family on this board. They have helped so much and will help you too. Know that I am praying for you and sending you a great big hug. I hope Kerry and Frank are having a great time together above with no pain or sadness. I am here if you ever need someone to talk to. You can pm me or whatever. Love ya, Anna
Oh my goodness, I am so sorry, I have been away from the computer and came on tonight to find out this and about Mary.
I feel numb...I am so sorry
My prayers are with his family and all of you here, also his family.
Thank you Kerry for your help and your humour when I needed it.
Susie and family
Kerry spent so much time here caring for himself and those of us here. It wasn't for waste. Not like a baseball game chat site where the outcome is hardly worth the effort. (no offense to baseball fans!) But in giving of himself he pulled us together, gave words to the embarrassment of colorectal cancer, made us laugh and gave us hope. Do you know that in his own dark moments he NEVER gave up. Yet we saw the tenderness through his charming explanations of his family- something about germ producer rug rats? (grandkids) And the absolute total pride in his sons and his joy in you and his marriage. And oh the simple delight of chopping wood, of hunting season- his spirit and zest for such simple joys was incredible to witness. And through our own shock and nightmares of this horrid beast, there was Kerry with always something to pull us together, if just for a bit. I think he knew how much we loved him and needed him, just as much as he loved us and needed us.
We will miss him a whole lot.
We all knew this was coming but, it still hurts terribly. I know we all will miss him and his wonderful posts. I pray for his family that they will find some peace in knowing how much we all loved him. Our loss is heaven's gain!
I've not much to say, I spent the evening looking over previous Kerry posts, doing my mourning that way I guess, spent time crying and a lot laughing, went outside and snuck a cigarette for him, heck, sure do miss him.

Kerry was a joy and a delight in the face of this dreaded disease. He made me laugh with his stories when I was feeling down and I looked forward to his posts. He was a caring "ole coot" that I am grateful to have had the honor of knowing thru this board. May God bless and keep Kerry's family gently wrapped in his arms to lessen the pain of loosing this man. Can't wait to meet you on the other side Kerry.

It hurts...the loss....I only knew him here for a few months before he started talking about the brain stuff and I always thought "na he's to rough and loving. that's not going to be his way out of here". Now I can only imagine what his family went through.
To Kerry's family...I am so sorry for your loss. What a wonderful man to have shared a life with. He had a wonderful energy and outlook and love and compassion. He bought smiles to those that were down when we needed it most. Those are the memories that make me smile with my tears.
I'm so sorry to read this news. I haven't been on the board for a couple of days and wanted to check in specifically on Kerry. I pray that his family will find peace in the memory of how he was when he was well. He's at peace now I'm sure which is the important thing. My deepest sympathy to the family.
I am so sorry. peace and comfort to you and your family. Kerry is and will be missed and remembered always. I so enjoyed his stories and his spirit here.
