I am going to be doing RICE after all. I start monday. I will have a port put in monday morning and ice later in the afternoon. Ice again on Tuesday, RICE on wednesday and neupogen shot on thursday. The ice will be about 3 hours each, and rice day about 6 hours. I'll get a two week rest, then will do rice on monday, tues and wed will be ice and thursday the shot.

I am going to end up with 2 ports through all of this. He didn't want to put in just the one port with the three tubes yet because of risk of infection, so once the transplant is over they will take out the three tube one and leave just the one for awhile.

I'll be glad to get this started.

Hello,

I am glad everything is settled with your treatment plan. Your doctors sound great and are looking far ahead as far as infection. I will be thinking of you Monday, and pray everything goes well.

Love Maggie

Hi Beth,
Well...the new journey begins. I hope you can spend the next 5 days relaxing, knowing the plan is in place. You are a strong lady and a trooper, so I know you will make it through this. We will be here every step of the way for you. My prayers and good thoughts will be with you on Monday. Take care...Love...Sue (FNHL-2-3A-6/10)

Hi Beth,

I'm so glad that everything is set and you now have a plan and a start date. I know you really wanted to get started on putting this cancer to rest. On Monday I will be sending you love and prayers and lots of positive energy that everything goes well for you. Is your RICE outpatient or will you be in the hospital? Please let us know how you are doing. We will be here for you.

Blessings,
Leslie

All of it is outpatient, including the transplant chemo. It's still going to be hard to sit in that chair for so long. I'm used to the 3 hr thing, but 12 hours in 3 days is going to be so boring.

Oh well. it is what it is.

Hi Beth,

I have no new words to say, but I still want to add my best wishes and prayers to everyone else's.
Keep the faith, Beth. If you keep seeing your victory, then it won't be a surprise.

All my best wishes,
Tom (DLBCL-Stage 4-7/10-Remission?)
