thank you all for your recommendations for aching legs

sisters,

i'm going to begin taking l glutamine again, took a hot bath with epson salts and that helped, now use a heating pad, which also helps, and when all else fails i take some vicadin before i go to bed, that usually does the trick. i don't think it's restless legs or neuropathy, but who knows? aching bones is a known side effect of gemsar, so am assuming it's that. i'm trying a little of everything, and every little bit helps. thanks so much for your suggestions.

Hi Mags: I see you have used the epsom salts and the heating pad. I am glad something did give you some relief. May God bless you Maggie and give you the strength to endure and beat this terrible disease. Love and best wishes June

    Electric throw
    Hi Maggie,

Your mentioning the heating pad reminded me that when my legs were really bothering me I ordered an electric throw. It is large enough to wrap around my legs and more flexible than a heating pad. I think it is made by Comfort House. I still have leg pain from my knees through my feet--mostly on the outside of my legs. I went to the orthopedic surgeon who did my knee replacement and he said he was pretty sure it is neuropathy. He said the best thing for it is marijuana, but didn't offer to write a perscription for me, and since I am allergic to pot--found that out in the 60's--that was just as well. I do hope your leg pain goes away soon.
