Well we finally got home at 8:00 this evening. Surgery is done, now the darned wait for Tuesday. I'm doing ok, starting to hurt a little but can't do pain pill till 10.
At least that part is over. The waiting is going to be the hard part, but we will be waiting with you. I know you are watching the clock and never realized how slow time goes by when you are waiting for something. hang in there. John(FNHL-1-4A-5/10)
Hi Beth,
I agree with John, the waiting IS the hardest part. But, you know that we will wait with you. I hope your discomfort is minimal and that you will be able to rest.
Peaceful healing

Hi Beth,
Well..it's over for now, and I'm glad it went well for you. Did you have the BMB and the biopsy done all at the same time? If so, thats alot for a body to take on in one day...sure hope you get a decent nights sleep my dear. I'll be waiting with the others for your results and of course keeping you in my prayers.

Thanks everyone. Want some helpful advise? Do not EVER tell your anesthesiologist you have a caffeine withdrawl major headache. He ordered me a bag for my IV of caffeine...it's wonderful for the headache but I am wide awake and it is 4am. I've been taking the pain pills and no still no sleep for me. I finally broke down about 30 minutes ago and took a benedryl.
I AM sure that when I finally do crash, it's going to be for a long time LOL. Yes I had both biopsies Sue, node removal and bmb. I feel nothing on the bmb, it's the armpit that is going to hurt. Actually the pain hasn't been too bad since I have been dealing with the lymphadema and pain for a while now so I am kinda used to that area being uncomfortable. Plus last years biopsy helped with the knowledge of what to expect. I am sure tomorrow when I start feeling more I will be complaining more LOL.
Take care everyone and I hope you are all grateful for the sleep you got tonight :)
I know Maggie, it is sad that I know what expect. This is going to be the scariest wait that I have had to do. The first was horrible because of the word cancer, now I am used to that and worried about it changing to more aggressive. It's daunting and I am doing a lot of praying.
Still can't sleep....unbelievable for me (I love to sleep)
I'll check in as I can. I am staying in a place where they don't have internet and trying to find an unsecure connection it's iffy.
I am so sorry you are having a tough time sleeping. I can relate to it, and really feel your pain.. It reminds me
when I was first DX. I couldn't sleep, and the depression was overwelming. At least when you sleep, you can forget, just for a little while, that you have cancer.
Tuesday seems so far away. Please post as soon as you know. Love Maggie
After pain pills and a zanax and a half, hot bath, and sleepy time tea I passed out at 5pm last night and woke up at 5:30 this morning. I think I took enough to knock a damn horse down LOL. I am still shaking from the caffeine though....damn that IV was something else.
I am starting to hurt a lot worse now and have an ice pack stuck to my armpit, but I'll make it. The drain worked really well and hardly had any drainage to speak of during my 12 hour nap. Hopefully will get the drain out soon.
I'll check in later today when I get home this afternoon.
Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers guys! Vinny how's your wife?

Done
Hi Beth,
Whew, at least the biopsies are finished. Now the waiting.
How sad to read that you are kinda of used to the pain and knowing what to expect. No one
can be prepared. You are so very brave. God Bless You.
